I once dropped a pen
And thought it was the foreshadowing of my death,
The reality is, being born was the foreshadowing of my death.
Let the pens drop, people die. I’m alive.
This Oscar is also important tonight.
The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral
begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy. Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.
Through violence you may murder the liar, but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.
Through violence you may murder the hater, but you do not murder hate. In fact, violence merely increases hate. Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is from Iraq. It is currently in the British museum, you know, the little island thousands of miles away from Iraq. This is a prime example of an imperialist nation stealing ornaments because their pathetic little history cannot fill a museum, so they have to pillage and loot to fill it up.
I have been to the “British” museum, there is absolutely nothing British about it. Just a building filled with artefacts stolen from Africa and from the East.
The British Museum is full of stolen artifacts, yes. But in this case, do you really think Iraq’s museums are safer and more impervious to theft?
